This is a series of introductory lectures on Role and Reference Grammar [RRG], a typologically-oriented theory of the syntax-semantics-pragmatics interface.   The discussion will be limited to the analysis of simple sentences and will focus on syntactic representation (Lecture 1), semantic representation (Lecture 2),  information structure and grammatical relations (Lecture 3), and linking syntax and semantics (Lecture 4).  A basic background in syntax is presupposed.
